ONLINE OCTOBER PHOTO CLUB! KIDS AGES 9-12

Program Description: This is an online version of our popular after school photo club program! Our head instructor Diana will inspire and engage club members with super fun photo activities and challenges that they'll do in session as well as interactive photo scavenger hunts they'll be assigned to do in-between sessions ...all while learning about photography fundamentals, both creative and technical, that will take their photography skills to the next level!

Time: 6-7 pm

Program Fee: $105, includes HST

Please note a minimum of 4 students required to run this program.

AFTERSCHOOL PHOTO CLUB, IN-PERSON, AGES 9-13

Program Description: Our after-school program for kids ages 9-13 will run four Monday afternoons, from Sept. 13 to Oct. 4. Our head instructor Diana uses exploration-based photo activities and challenges in the studio and photo walks to acquaint the kids with the principles of photography and visual expression. We'll go on photo scavenger hunts, find faces in places, make photo action flip books, learn about composition, vantage points, elements of design, scale and perspective, macro photography, and so much more in this hands-on, super fun after school photo club program.  

Dates:  Mondays, September 14 to October 4

 

Times: 3:45 - 5:15 pm

Workshop Location:

Back Lane Studios, 9 Neepawa Ave, Toronto, M6R 1V1

Program Fee: $165, includes HST, camera loan and student prints to take home.

PA DAY PHOTO WORKSHOP, IN-PERSON, AGES 9-12

Digital cameras and portable printers provided for use during the program. Participants print and take home their favourite photos.

SUPERPOWER PHOTO TIPS & TECHNIQUES, AGES 9-13/14

Part 1: Beginner Level

Program Description: his beginner’s online program is designed to introduce kids ages 9-13 to the “superpower” photography skills used by professional photographers. They will explore how photographers across all genres use the same set of creative fundamentals to create beautiful, compelling and often award-winning images. The weekly sessions are scaffolded so as to encourage a deeper understanding of how they can apply and layer these skills in their own practice as burgeoning young photographers.
 

Dates: Tuesdays, September 14-October 5

Part 2: Intermediate Level

Program Description: This intermediate program is
designed to take kids ages 9-14 one step further in their exploration of the “superpower” photography skills used by award-winning photographers. In this course, 
we’ll focus on how photographers use light, shadow and contrast for maximum effect as it applies to all genres including nature, urban, people, and still life photography. Ideal for kids who have completed our Part 1 beginner course as well as young photographers with some photography experience.

Dates: Tuesdays, November 9-30

Times: 7-8:30 pm EST
