About our Cameras in the Library Program: Cameras in the Library, a super fun, immersive and experiential introduction to digital photography, the history of photography and an exploration of iconic 20th century photographers. Over a course of 8 workshop sessions, participants ages 8-12 will work closely with Diana Nazareth, professional photographer and founder of Project Kids & Cameras, and Kelly Lui, assistant instructor and videographer. They will brainstorm on a photo theme that will encourage them to explore the people and places in their community, take and print their own photos in workshop, and learn how to curate a photo exhibit showcasing their work in the library’s gallery space.

About Project Kids & Cameras:

Project Kids & Cameras is a social enterprise empowering kids ages 7-14 to explore their voice and the world around them through photography, literacy, visual thinking skills, and social action. Our programs are now offered in a variety of learning environments such as in schools, community art centres, libraries, and during photo walks, summer workshops and PA Days.
